The magic of this site is almost impossible to describe. Majority of travelers want to see the Sigiriya Lion Rock, that’s why ask your tuk-tuk driver to take you to the Pidurangala Rock. After 30-40 mins of hiking, you will reach it.
Believe us the view from there is worth climbing! The hike through dense forest is overwhelming, and the mesmerizing views at the top make it worth all the effort. You need to go through an ancient Buddhist temple before beginning the rise. A sunrise hike is recommended for the breathtaking views and tranquil setting of mind.
